Edmond Laser Institute has developed topical anesthetic creams
that are specifically designed to meet the needs of surface laser
surgery of the skin. As compared to EMLA Cream (Astra) the
onset is faster and the duration of action is shorter.

The Anesthetic is required only for the "performance" of these
skin procedures because no significant pain has been experienced
by our patients in the follow up period. The formulation
emphasizes fast absorption with higher peak effect at 2 hours post
application

We can make these prescription creams available to you through our compounder for use with office
procedures only. You would not be allowed to resell this to your patients; however, you may include the
medication in the charges to the patient upon which it used.

At Edmond Laser Institute we supply these to patients at the time of scheduling. The patient is
instructed to apply these topical creams to the area to be treated (not to exceed 18% of the total body
surface area) approximately 2 hours prior to their appointment. The 4% Tetracaine creams comes in
30 gm dispenser size tubes and may be purchased in case lots of 24.

The 30 gm tube will treat approximately 18% to 20% total body surface area. The cost per case is
$508.00. U.S. Shipping and handling is included in the per-case cost.
